The Rococo style was a great finish to the Baroque style. The legacy of the last century, the eighteenth century acquires a special aesthetic consciousness, in which highly developed artistic taste becomes more important than many other human qualities. Taste implied the ability not only to distinguish beauty and know how to recreate it, but also the ability to deeply enjoy creation. If you need a whole range of emotions for baroque – from joy to tragedy, then for those who enjoy rococo – just a great subtle, elegant.

It is no coincidence that it is at this time that the fashion for “Chinese” or chinoiserie comes. Mobile screens appear in the interior, visually changing the space; tapestries with pictures of flowers, pagodas, people in Chinese clothes; famous Chinese porcelain, excellent orchids, 2/16 trees of small genera, aquarium fish, as well as elegant lacquered furniture by Chinese masters, as if created for Rococo.

The world of miniature forms found its main expression in applied art – in furniture, cutlery, bronze, porcelain, and in architecture mainly on the character of the decor, which took the form of a sophisticated, accentuated sophisticated and complicated look. In the interior, now the most important thing was not magnificent and majestic, but pleasant and cozy. The houses that are built in this period are usually strictly outside classic. Inside are walls, broken by slabs, niches, densely decorated with paintings, stucco, gilding, small plastic, decorative fabrics, bronze, porcelain, mirrors.

The main element of the interior was the fireplace which was very nicely finished and built, as a rule, low. Candelabra, clocks and other decorative items are placed on the marble slabs of the fireplace. Mirrors are placed on the upper sections of the walls beautiful frames. But it is worth noting that the mirrors were hung on other parts of the walls as well. Quite often a mirror was placed opposite the window, on either side of the fireplace, which was placed against the empty walls. This solution made it possible to enjoy the burning fireplace at the same time, as well as the winter view with windows. The decoration of the ceiling and walls corresponded to the shape and decor of the furniture, including drapery and upholstery colors. It was in the Rococo era that the idea of Fr. interior, the interior was from that time considered an integral space, which is performed in a unique stylistic solution.

A chest of drawers (translated from French means convenient) was at that time the personification of comfort. Only the top cover, which was usually made of marble, remained flat, but at the same time the edges of the covers were processed in waves. The motifs of the market were baskets with ribbons and flowers, plant branches, bouquets and more. The decoration was done all over the surface, not taking into account the design of the product. Chests of drawers usually had two or three drawers that became invisible with the help of decorations.

A rococo-style room should look like a box of valuables. Therefore, ignore the accessories and try to style the interior of Rokoca – things are mutually exclusive. Porcelain figurines, coffins, vases can be placed literally everywhere: on shelves for blankets, tables, special accessories-consoles, in cabinets-mountains. Dishes should be light and sophisticated. Materials – glass, porcelain, majolica, processing – gold, silver, lacquer, painting. Do not refuse products made of gilded bronze: candelabra, wall chandeliers, chandeliers, wall and table clocks. Gilded bronze was also used in the form of linings for furniture, porcelain, ceramics, stone and bone.
